Biom Paris launches Le Bog, an eco-designed cup

Following the success of its eco-designed toilet brush, Biom Paris, based in Lamorlaye, is launching a crowdfunding campaign for its multi-purpose cup, made with the same values. This innovative company aims to become the leading specialist in the new responsible economy of the bathroom sector.

“Innovating where no one else goes.” This is the philosophy of Sandra Legel, founder and CEO of Biom Paris. Sparkling and full of energy, this Dutch-born entrepreneur dares to innovate. In September 2017, she shook up the hygiene sector with her bbb brush, a toilet brush made of bio-sourced plastic composed of 30% beetroot filaments and marine waste… and without bristles. “A product that works well because it stays clean. We are sold at Galeries Lafayette in Paris and in about forty eco-responsible boutiques, as well as on online marketplaces ,” explains Sandra Legel. “I embarked on eco-design because, in industry, we have a responsibility. We sell products consciously, meaning we are aware of the environmental impact of manufacturing our products. The question is no longer ‘how to consume differently’ but ‘how to manufacture differently.’” " In the Oise region, for example, you can find this brush at the Intermarché in Lamorlay or at Idely in Compiègne. This highly committed manager – who has been in France for over 30 years – has therefore placed innovation at the heart of her industrial process."
She therefore continued her mission by creating Le Bog , a cup designed with the same philosophy. Currently undergoing eco-design studies, this cup will be just as innovative. The packaging is designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and the product's durability and lifecycle are optimized. "It's in our DNA. We're currently conducting a study," explains the CEO. What makes it special? Here too, the entire concept has been carefully considered. "It's a multi-purpose cup; you can put your toothbrushes in it or take it with you because it has a lid. It represents a sustainable alternative to disposable cardboard and plastic cups. Multi-purpose goes hand in hand with eco-design because you can use the cup for a multitude of things," she continues. This design is the future: disposable plastic cups have been banned since January 1, 2021 and the Government's bill also plans to ban the free distribution of plastic bottles in establishments open to the public, in businesses and at cultural, sporting or festive events.

Crowdfunding

Sandra Legel has chosen crowdfunding to launch her product. Those interested can participate in this major campaign, open from June 10th to July 13th. This funding allows them to purchase Le Bog in advance and simultaneously contribute to the product's eco-design study. The cup is scheduled for release in November 2021. Like the bbb Brosse, Le Bog will be manufactured in the Oise region of France by the company Louis Besse. Le Bog also has a social impact: order preparation is handled by a reintegration workshop.
These products are part of a virtuous cycle within the industry. This "alternative" approach to industrial manufacturing is central to the process. Revitalizing industry in France is the CEO's conviction. "In large retailers, we no longer have a choice. Creating and manufacturing in France also allows us to finally find French products on the shelves. Goodbye disposables! Goodbye "Made in Far Away"!" she asserts. Because, for Sandra Legel, the technical aspects of the product are at the heart of her innovations.
